Oh my goodness...I don't know whether to sing, laugh..or cry.. I've been working with the realtor and a buyer for a month...and we've had all kinds of hoops to jump through. In particular, the roof (which was fine--just not perfect.) and was so afraid that they wouldn't be able to arrange their financing and the whole thing would fall through like the last time in March.
But no, the miracle has happened! The house will close sometime next week IF..I drive to Grand Prairie--today! (Actually, yesterday) and paint any peeling paint or chipped places on the exterior trim. And I have to completely re-surface and paint the garage door inside and out. As you know, we have already worked TONS of hours on Dad's house which is four hours from mine. You can read all about the transformation brought about with the help of my kids here, here, and here.
I left yesterday afternoon after arranging for Jacob to stay with my friend, Laurie. He goes to class with her son. As I type, I'm scrambling for the paintbrushes and rollers..and the gray paint dear Mom purchased for the door. Got to go by Wal-mart for some white exterior paint. We have to hurry so the appraiser can be scheduled to come back out again on Friday. No doubt, I will whip this job right out with my industrious painting help...Hmmm...
So, I can't tell you what to do with all those receipts like I promised. I'm so sorry to leave you hanging, but don't worry. The photos are ready, and I've got the rest of the process of getting your finances in order, all planned out. My guess is it will be ready Saturday morning. In the meanwhile, I have photos of my latest trip to our local fruit and vege stand out here in the country scheduled to post on Friday.
I just can't believe it...the House Sold!! PTL!! Pinch me..is it real??!! Thanks SO MUCH all of your for praying. Hopefully, the trim is not as bad as I remembered (Gee..how come I can't remember?!!) and we will do a good enough job to pass the second inspection. Yipes! Have a great week and...
Happy Homemaking!
