Our White Christmas in Houston

This is the video I made last year when it really DID snow in Houston... I have it on VIDEO and can prove it! I was sewing away and could hardly believe my eyes when the REAL THING starting coming down in huge flakes. It snowed the year before too. After 13 years of living in the Houston area, I'm beginning to wonder what in the world is going on with the weather!

Honestly, snow is NOT the norm in Houston. Don't believe me? Just listen to this great country song. I ADORE it!  It's  so so so funny and all too true!   I just finished turning off the A/C for the day. We run A/C during the day (in December) and the heat at night. Go figure!  I just had to link to my good friend, Natasha's Sunday Song linky party because this is too good a song not to share with the whole world. :o)

Ah well, my kids are in Heaven after years of never experiencing snow because the last two years..it really has snowed now..in HOUSTON!  Miracles DO still happen and we are praying for another one. Anything that will get my my 16-20 yr.olds to act like ten year olds is a miracle! I love it!

Have a lovely Sunday..and take time to rest and worship the Lord. After all, it is HIS day. :o)

Happy Homemaking!

Oh my! That song is so funny! I was raised in Houston. Can't wait to let my hubby listen to this song. We are TX natives but currently residing in GA. We will be going home for Christmas. I doubt it'll be a white one. lol I remember it snowed really heavy once when I was a little girl. We built snowmen and frolicked in the snow all day. This past year we had a good snow here in GA and it made me feel like a kid again. Glad I found your blog. I'm your newest follower and would be delighted to have you follow me back.
Have a glorious Sunday!

In the 60's white December what not unusual in the Dallas area. Now nope! We would all be in shock here in the San Antonio area if we received snow.
Love the song.

I remember around February last year we got snow - 2-3 inches, here in CS and it stuck for about 8 hours - enough time for all the college students in our neighborhood to act giddy and crazy and for goose and I to go sled-riding in the park and build a snowman. He's asking me when it will snow again. Like that? Maybe in 25 years ... :)

Thanks for the smile! Hope your sunday is restful.

Hi Donna. That looks great. I think snow is awesome, we don't get it. I couple of times it did strangely snow in Modesto a few years back. It's just cold right now. Have a grea week. I like the song.

I love snow. It is so magical . . . with the Saviour creating each snowfake. Your home is beautiful snow or no snow.
Blessings,
Bren
If we get snow here in NC I will send you some.

It will be so fun if it does snow won't it? But if not, I'll just play my favorite song about Christmas in Houston. I love this country song and have been singing it all weekend!
