Making Nativity Costumes

Today, I spent the most of the day sewing some of the more challenging parts of our church's live nativity costumes.

It's now 1:00am and I'm pretty tired.  So, here are the pix of the finished Angel's wings and the King's collars. But I'm not going into details at the moment on how it went.  I do have some pix and tips to post tomorrow.

Kristy Bailey sewed the shepherd's and Joseph's costumes below.  She did a great job!

We have several women from our church sewing away this last two weeks. Our sewing hall of fame for this project at least,  includes...Kristy and Abby Bailey (pictured on the right), Peggy Woody, Ruth Velarde, Laurie and Claire Stevens, Suzanne and Aubrey Young, Terri Brenon,  Anita Michelson, and Elisabeth Rodgers.

I hope I'm not forgetting anyone! THANKS Ladies!! (and girls!) You are life savers!  (My daughter and I are on the left.)
Some of the girls pictured in my sidebar, learned to sew in a six week sewing class that I taught at Kristy's house and they have helped do several major sewing projects for church.  They have been busily sewing head pieces, scarves, and shawls this month.  Little did I know, when I taught them all how to sew...that their help would come in so handy so many times afterwards. Thanks girls!
Tomorrow, I'll tell you all about it and give you a
review of the two patterns I used.

Enjoy...and Goodnight!
