A Special Thank You to Bloggy Friends Who've Commented Lately...

You know summer is always a busy time for all of us and I seem to be no exception. Or maybe my life has been busier than most..but I really doubt that!

At any rate, I haven't been able to return comments or even visit my dear sweet friends' blogs lately. But sometimes, you just have to live life and blog later, because it's the right thing to do.

Debby at Cozy Blanket

I have been SO BLESSED by the comments of some of you dear sweet bloggy friends. It has meant all the more because I couldn't return comments or visit. It simply was almost impossible. I even went four whole days without even an update, a post or even a warning that I would be MIA. Yet still, you left sweet comments for me. :o)

. I know some of you are really busy too which made the notes even more special. Thank you for being there for me, when I couldn't be there for you. Blogging on the go in a house with no internet makes it doubly difficult. And I know that Shona and Maria know what it's like to blog 'on the go'. :o)

Sometimes I could get my IPOD out and check the blog at a Starbucks or the parking lot at Home Depot or even late at night at my aunt's house. But I rarely could type anything. Those keys are so tiny! And at my aunt's..I just crashed at night..worn out physically and mentally. And there were all these sweet comments to cheer me up when I got there.

So I wanted to do a little shout out about as many of you as I could today. I'm writing this on Sunday, but it shouldn't post until Monday.  I've pre-scheduled ALL of my posts this week, so no matter when the new grandson arrives, you will have something fun or at least interesting to read.

Thanks to each of you who have left comments and thanks so much too, to all of you who have been reading and your patience when I couldn't post as much. I know you are visiting even if you can't leave a comment. Though to tell you the truth, I haven't checked the site meter in three weeks!

It is such a rewarding and encouraging feeling to know that you all seem to like reading my posts and check back so often. It makes me think that I'm actually doing something to help you or bless you and that it's appreciated.

I'm always amazed when I do have something to share like that and then find out someone I didn't even know about was reading and getting good use of the information. (And please, do forgive me if I didn't mention you and you recently commented. I'm just a wee bit scatter-brained right now!)

 Deb at Jeremiah 29:11
That's the only reason I blog at all..to make your days a little brighter and your lives a little easier. I do hope Comin' Home is a blessing to you.  :o)  Some of you have mentioned how 'busy' I am. But really, it's just because I love people and I love to show that love in tangible ways.

My life would be easier, I'm sure, if I could just send you a box of chocolates, or write you note...but NoooOoo I have to make something or do something for you.  Since I love so many people, I find myself doing a LOT! Ha!

 Shannon at Room for More

I show my love by serving. I'm just not the 'flowery' type or terribly sentimental. I'm an ACTION person. So please don't feel like you should be doing more if you read all this stuff. It's just ME. Sometimes I wish I could just BE a little more...you know..hang out and just fellowship. :o)

That's why God gave me a husband and daughter who like cozy time and hanging out. Hubby wants me to hang out with him. So I do. Daughter wants me to 'just hang out' with her and of course, I sit down and do just that.  Same goes for a couple of my boys.

I also just can't stand the thought of spending a dime on something that I might possibly could learn to do myself. Just call me a miser..or maybe that's the pioneer woman in me coming out. I learned how to install doorknobs last week because I made the carpenter teach me. And I paid careful attention to how the floor guys laid the lineoleum. No way am I EVER going to pay someone else to do that again! It's so easy!!

 Lorraine at Love of Collage

See...I'm just a hopeless cause. I guess my biggest hobby is learning new things, teaching my friends, and serving my friends and loved ones.  Comin' Home..just gets the overflow. :o) To make something with your hands is such a rewarding thing! I crave it and love it. Each of us on our blogs shows our uniqueness too and is good at something even if it's just showing how lovely and wonderful life is...or pondering about why things are 'the way things are'.

I think that's the most wonderful thing about 'bloggy' land...the opportunity to share our unique perspectives and drop a little sunshine into each other's lives.  Thank you for dropping some sunshine into my life this last few weeks!  You are all SPECIAL!

PS. Thanks so much Aunt Joan, for letting me know that Square Foot Cleaning helped you. What an honor that was for you to tell me that when I so admire you as a homemaker and a teacher and a fabulous Grandmommy too! And it really blew my mind that you read my blog! You're the best for letting us hang out all week at your house. :o)

Happy Homemaking!

************************************
Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God.  Whenever I pray, I make my requests for all of you with joy, for you have been my partners in spreading the Good News about Christ from the time you first heard it until now.  And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. So it is right that I should feel as I do about all of you, for you have a special place in my heart.  Phil. 1:-8a

Ms. Donna...if you look up homemaker in the dictionary, I do believe you picture would be there...or if you looked up Proverbs 31 Woman...there you would be. I do admire you and you have some amazing qualities that a lot of us need to aspire to!
Thanks for including me in your list of "thank you"'s!

Oh dear Donna, what a lovely post! So much effort put into it! You are a remarkable woman and I really enjoy reading your blog and about all the things you do and the passion you have for your family and loved ones.
I hope little August has arrived safely and that you are enjoying newborn cuddles and that beautiful baby smell.

Thanks for popping in yesterday too. I know you are very busy and I feel special that you took the time to read my post and comment.

I'm in Melbourne, Australia. The snow we were in was at a place called Mt Buller, about 3 hours north/east of the city.

Love to you are yours, Ky x

Aww you are so sweet. A pick me up that was much needed. I'm having issues responding on blogs so if it doesn't say this is Joy from Over Yonder!
