The 'Everything' Room...Three Rooms in One

I'm almost embarrassed to admit it, but pictures can be a wee bit deceiving. :o)  For instance, this is our 'office'....

We do school here, blog, pay bills, work on driver's ed and the kids (and Dad) play computer games here.

And this is our playroom for the grandchildren...See all the great new toys I bought for $30.00 on Craig's List? Some of the grandchildren are just too old for simple baby toys, so I picked up some 'like new' ones to have on hand. Lena adores the kitchen!  The work table with folding sides that doubles as extra dining space for visitors is in the background out of the way. :o)  (These toys stay behind the couch in the living room most of the time.)

And of course, you are all familiar with my beloved and much coveted 'sewing room'..tee hee!  I always told Tim I should have lived on a tug boat. I know how to get the best use out of every little bit of space.

And here is a panoramic shot of most of the room from left to right. It catches almost all four walls. So what if our house only has 1750 square feet of space. Isn't it amazing what you can do with a room when you have to?  This room is 14 x 16' in case you were wondering. Not as big as you might think.huh?

By way of an update, August is not home yet, so we are still caring for  my granddaughter, Lena.  We weren't able to go to the hospital so she could see Mom and Dad today because the weather from Tropical depression Hermine which produced 12" of rain in our area and tornadoes in College Station from what I hear, was just too bad. I was afraid to drive my daughter and granddaughter in that kind of rain.  Andrew said they have run lots of tests but we don't have any results back yet.  We hope to visit in the morning.

In the meantime, we pray knowing our dear little grandson is in a great place and in the best of hands...his parents and our Heavenly Father.

Happy Homemaking (and thanks SO MUCH for your prayers!)

Oh Donna, I do hope that little August is going to be ok. I'm sure they'll find the problem and have him fixed in a jiffy.
Thoughts and prayers are with you all. xx

We do several things in a room too. We are praying for August.

I made my first pajama shorts. I actually made two. I wear them to bed every night. I am so happy with them. I should probably make some pants soon as it the weather will start getting cold. Hope you'll come take a look. By the way, I am turning 10 this weekend.

Donna,
Still keeping August in my prayers. Also keeping all of you in my prayers for these storms.
Your home looks wonderful, very creative dividing it into rooms.
Thanks so much for stopping by and visiting my blog. I love hearing comments from you!
Blessings,

The tornado over here ended up being nothing, but we did hide in the bathroom. Is your grandson in the hospital in CS? Hope he will be home soon.

Our playroom is also the library and my sewing room. Our bedroom is also the office. :)
