WIP's Sleep Sacks, Birthday Photos, Frosty Woods, and a Care Package

My first WIP..is a set of photos from Lena's 2nd Birthday party which I'm planning to share this Saturday...She's so cute!

I'm also working on tomorrow's post -- a beautiful set of photos of lovely things on our little 'hobby farm' all covered in ice. It was a great photo opportunity and my 16 yr.old took some amazing photos in the woods!

I also made a .pdf this afternoon of the sleep sack pattern I made off of Ebeth's store bought one so that I can do the Sleep Sac tutorial on Friday. I do think you seamstresses will like that. :o)

My sweet son, Matthew, with grandkids, Brennan and Colin

But my most important W.I.P is a care package for my Marine son, Matthew, and his buddies.

I spent a good hour on the phone with my Marine son whose best friend was just killed in action.  He's only been in Afghanistan a couple of weeks. So I'm asking everyone to pray for Matthew and for his friend's family as they are truly grieving..and having a hard time sleeping at night.

My  care package for Matthew will include...flavored coffees...drawing pencils...creamer..photos from home...and an art book...and lots of prayer. I'm shopping today for big bags of coffee..and huge containers of creamer. Matthew and his buddies share all their good stuff.   He really needs to know we are thinking of him. :o)

I hope all is well at your home and that you are staying warm! We are getting more ice and snow today..and the kids and grandkids are coming over for dinner tonight..so it will be fun and busy this evening!

Hi Donna. I'm so sorry about your son's friend. May he rip and always be remembered. Very sad. I'm glad your daughter spends half hour every day with the Lord, that is a very good thing. I like that idea. I may try that. Donna, you have a family that loves you forever and that's what you have to concentrate on, beside the Lord of course. The past is the past no matter what it may be, we always go forward. You are a strong person and I like you very much because of that and the fact that you have managed to raise such a wonderful family. You are all blessed. I hope your son enjoys his care package. Take care dear amiga. Time for me to try to clean house, tee hee. Smile, because a smile increases your face value.

Dear Donna,

I'm so sorry to hear about your son's friend...we are praying for comfort for your son tonight...a mama hurts when her babies hurt...no matter how old they are.

On another note, your sleep sacks are adorable! I look forward to Friday's post!

Have a blessed evening, my friend,
Laura
