A miracle of color happened at our house this year....
In all the time we have been living here...only one of our trees ever turned a truly vivid color. In fact, the trees here in Texas..especially near Houston, just don't do that, at least not like they do further north.
This has always been my favorite one because it turned such a rich red.
So you can imagine how shocked I was when ALL of our trees began turning the loveliest shades of orange, red, and yellow!
These same trees have turned plain brown..year after year.
I am just awestruck...
Does anyone know if lack of rain promotes color in trees?
My son, Christian, who, as you know, loves to take photos ran out and took these shots for me on the first sunny day we've had this week.
The colors were beautiful..but we've had lots of rain and gray skies which doesn't allow for good photos.
It's hard to believe that I'm talking about rain...and lots of it! The pond has filled back up almost to normal. The rain is a huge answer to prayer in our area.
But yesterday, the sun was shining brightly...so I thought I'd share these photos of our trees...
arrayed in the most splendiforous colors ever!
Yet Solomon in all his glory...was not dressed as beautifully as these. Matt. 6:29

Beautiful pictures Donna! Thank you for sharing them. Fall is my favorite time of year... now all the leaves are gone from our trees.
Winter is setting in. Have a wonderful week!
Blessings,
Jill
Beautiful photos, your son sure knows how to capture them! We still have a beautiful red and orange Bradford Pear Tree in the backyard, the colors are mesmerizing... Have a wonderful week, I love the new look of your blog ♥
