Please Pray for My Blogging Friend Kerrie and Her Husband, Bill

Dear Friends,

I don't often do this, but after reading Kerrie's update on her husband Bill's website at Caring Bridge .org http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/billmarquartI thought today it was time to start.

You see..Kerrie's husband Bill has cancer. You can read more about his journey and hers on her profile at Two Happy.

Bill is an amazing artist (paints and carves) and is an avid fishermen. He's also a much adored and beloved husband. And he's a very brave man.

 Kerrie has been helping him through the ordeal of fighting cancer for several years now.  Today was a rough day for them both. I know how that feels to some degree..though it was my father not my husband.

How my heart aches for her and for Bill. He's fighting so valiantly..and she is hurting with the pain of knowing her hubby is hurting.

It's a very lonely journey...and overwhelming sometimes to try to care for someone you love in that position.  I wrote about some of my journey with Dad at the very beginning of this blog.

Kerrie is always praying for folks on her own blog, Two Happy, and this time, I'd like to ask all of you to pray for her and Bill.

If you have a minute, will you join me in asking for the Lord's grace, strength, joy and peace for them.

Dear Lord,

Please touch them both in a special way right now. Send your ministering angels to comfort Kerrie and lift her up so she can keep going. Fill her heart with peace that passes all understanding. Help her to know that you have not abandoned her but are right there watching over them both. (I know she knows that..but sometimes it can feel that way.)

Bring comfort and relief to Bill from the pain and exhaustion.  Strengthen his body... calm the rash...hold him close.

In Christ's name we pray... Amen.

Psalm 34

4I sought the Lord, and he answered me;
he delivered me from all my fears.
5Those who look to him are radiant;
their faces are never covered with shame.
6This poor man called, and the Lord heard him;
he saved him out of all his troubles.
7The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him,
and he delivers them.

17The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them;
he delivers them from all their troubles.
18The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
19A righteous man may have many troubles,
but the Lord delivers him from them all;

We love you Kerrie..and are praying for you and Bill.

Love,  Donna

I will say a prayer for Kerrie's husband and her. That's quite an ordeal they are going through. Right now I think there 3 or 4 blogs who have had tragedies an/or are having serious health problems or a death in the family. We who know them have been praying and I will keep Bill in my prayer's. I'm familiar with Kerrie's blog. Very sad. God bless them both.
By the way Donna, I'll wish you very Happy Holidays now because I will be on/off till the end of year. Probably on Fridays I'll be on. Take care and enjoy the holidays.

I said a prayer. Some really hard times they have to be going through. So nice of you to ask for prayers.

Donna, this is the first I have seen this post! It almost brought me to tears! What a beautiful thing to do for us, thanking you with all my heart and we know the reason Bill keeps going like the energizer bunny is because his batteries are charged constantly with all of your prayers. Thanks to everyone who has been so kind and compassionate to us in this awful Cancer journey. Love you Donna! ♥ Kerrie and Bill
